Eulogy for Lojze Mezgec By his daughter Nadia Mezgec |
Thank you in all sincerity for attending the funeral sesrvice today.
My mum and I would like to share with you the journey of life my father Alojz Mezgec has taken during the past and present years.
My father was born in Kovčiče, Slovenia in 1934 and had three sisters and one brother, Marija, Paula, Francka and Pepi. During the early years Dad worked very hard on the farm.
In 1953 my father met my mum Angela at a dance in Obrov and it was not until 1954 both of them decided to start a new life in Australia. My parents were married in Bonegilla, Northern Victoria and moved to Carrathool, near Hay in NSW and dad worked on the farm. Months went by and they became proud parents of a daughter whothey named Nadia.
As the years went by, the family moved from the country to the city, living in Croydon Park, Strathfield South and Bankstown for all those years my father worked for the Australian Gas Light Company, untill his retirement in the mid 1990's and the company sent him and mum with other long service employees to Ayers Rock and Alice Springs .
My father was very proud of his achivement, when the house he built in Bankstown was completed and ready to move in.. He enjoyed being outdoors, attending the lawn, the garden and vegetables. He loved a homecooked meal, talking about current affairs, going bowling, picnics and social outings, watching football and the Sydney Swans playing on TV. He was always willing to help out in many ways, but most of all my father loved being with his family, having friends and relations for company.Dad was very talkative and sometimes, when we had visitors it was hard to get a word in. You filled his life with happiness, joy and laughter.Thank you!
Dear Dad!Both Mum and I will always cherish the moments and the memories of you during your life, missing you very much and will always remember you with love in our hearts.
Your devoted and loving wife Angela and daughter Nadia .

DRAGI LOJZE, Od prijatelja JANEZA BOŠTJANČIČA
|
Dragi Lojze,
Nikoli nam nisi ničesar zameril in vedno si bil dobre volje.
Zbogom!
Tvoj »Žlahtov'c » Janez Boštjančič
