| Cilka Zagar is a teacher, interpreter and a liaison officer for migrants and Aborigines. She graduated from Perth University. This is her sixth published book. Two novels, Barbara and Magdalena were translated and published in Slovenia; Goodbye Riverbank is a History of Australian Aborigines and was published by Magabala; Growing up Walgett, a book of local history and the letters she exchanged with her students was published by Aboriginal Press; Aboriginal legends, Bush Tucker and Medicine were published by CEO Armidale. Her many articles, poetry and short stories were published in newspapers, magazines, and anthologies. | |

The characters in Not Loved Enough talk about their search for opal; they relate to the present and the future but their past is a burden they carry alone. They travel through life incognito but they know that they are alive only as long as someone knows that they are. |
