Smithfield Panthers Netball section is a sport section, sponsored by Panthers Triglav Club St JohnsPark for the third year. We had a very successful year last year with our Division 1 team winning the district premiership.  The trophy is displayed at Panthers Triglav St. Johns Park.

Since Panthers Triglav hasn’t got sports ground big enough for us to play on ,we train at Endeavour Reserve, Maud St, Fairfield West every Tuesday from 6 – 8 PM.

Our members ages range from 5yrs to senior. 

The first 2 -3 weeks we train the groups together so we can grade the skill level of the players and place them in the appropriate team. However, if a group of people wish to play as a team we register them in one team. We take members of all levels. Registrations can be taken up to week 9 of the competition so there is lots of time for people to register.

We play on Saturdays starting 14 April and game times depend on age and grade, eg.moderated games are the non-competitive teams and they play at 9:30 AM; competitive games start at age 10 and they and other junior teams play at 10:30 AM & 12:00;

The seniors play at either 1:30 or 3pm depending on their grade. We not only train members on how to play the game but we also teach them about coaching and umpiring if they're interested (through the club and the district)

Anyone interested can come around at our training time on Tuesdays or watch our competitions on Saturdays. Come yourself or bring the young ones, for sure they will have a super time !
