Sydney/ - Graduating with honours in Medical Science last
year, Lilijana Mikuletic made a decision about the
work
she wants to do and where she wants to do it. Shed like to play her part in evening up the acces
Australians, particularly those living in remote areas, have
to health care. Now in the first year of her Master of
Public Health degree she plans to work in Aboriginal Health
when fully qualified. Lilijana is already equipped to work in a number of
medical fields but in addition to an organic understanding
of the human body she wants to gain the ability to analyze
the social and other cause which determine health
outcomes. Lilijana is finding the postgraduate environment very
different from her undergraduate years. The work is much more intense, she said,
I am in groups with amazing people of very different
backgrounds: people from other countries and people from all
sort of professions as well as doctors and nurses. Lilijana practices what she preaches when it comes to
being fit and healthy. President of the Womens Soccer
Club for the last two years, she has also represented the
university as a gymnast. Sydney has 30 different
womens sports available which everyone should take
advantage of while they can, she said.
