Kapelica Restoration & Memorial Stone project Rookwood Cemetery, Slovenian Lawn 2
Pater Darko has, over the last few years, highlighted the need for restoration of the Kapelica. He has expressed his wish for a Memorial Stone to include the names of the dedicated priests and nuns who served at St Raphael’s.
A working group will be formed to raise funds and manage this project, with a completion date for All Souls Day this year.

Tedenske Novice
Ta nedelja je 2. nedelja med letom. Pri sv. maši je ljudsko petje.
Ta nedelja je tudi zahvalna sv. maša, saj naša rojakinja, zvesta članica občestva Tončka Stariha praznuje svoj 90. rojstni dan. Naši Tončki voščimo iz srca, obilo veselja v gospodu in med nami!
V Canberri danes ne bo slovenske sv. maše. Sv. maša bo tam spet v nedeljo, 15.2., ob 6.00 zvečer.
P. Darko v ponedeljek popoldne (19.1.) odpotujem službeno v Slovenijo, kjer bomo imeli v sredo sestanek – plenarni svet z našim provincialom P. dr. Christianom Gostečnikom. Vrnem se v petek, 6.2. zvečer.
V tem tednu bodo sv. maše:
V ponedeljek, 19.1., ob 7.00 zvečer: P. Joseph Thomas.
V torek, 20., in v sredo, 21.1., ne bo sv. maše.
V četrtek, 22.1., ob 10.30 dopoldne bo maševal P. Albert Wasniowski, Pavlinec, kaplan v Smithfieldu.
V petek, 23.1., ob 7.00 zvečer: P. Albert Wasniowski.
V soboto, 24.1., ne bo sv. maše.
V nedeljo, 25.1., in naslednjo nedeljo, 1.2., bo maševal P. Albert Wasniowski.
Prejšnjo nedeljo, 11.1., smo se po sv. maši sestali z našimi pevci. Sklenili smo, da bo mešani zbor pel vsako prvo nedeljo v mesecu in za velike praznike, druge nedelje pa bo ljudsko petje. Naredili smo program za naslednja dva meseca.
Molitev rožnega venca ob nedeljah bomo od 1.2. začenjali ob 8.50 (10 minut prej), da bodo pevci lahko povadili kakšno pesem ali kdaj kakšno ljudsko pesem mi vsi skupaj. Zato prosimo, pridite v cerkev toliko prej, da v redu začnemo.
Marijanski koledarji in družinske pratike vas čakajo na polici pod pevskim korom. vzemimo si jih, čimprej, tem bolje ($ 10 koledarji, $ 10 pratike).
Čimprej obnovimo naročnino na Misli, darujmo dar za Rafaela in dar v božičnih – Rafaelovih kuvertah. Bodimo velikodušni, saj s temi darovi krijemo zavarovanje naše cerkve, dvorane (public liability insurance) in še druge izdatke.

On Thursday, 1.1.2026, KRISTINA ROLIH passed away in Carlingford, NSW. She was 43 years old and was born in Melbourne. The funeral mass will be held today at St. Raphael’s Merrylands at 1:30PM.
